Metayel's left eye:
A few years ago the Shadow King, Tomir Sena, sliced Metayel's left eye. What Tomir didn't know was that he transferred some of his powers into him so Metayel gained powers from the Shadow Realm. It hurts whenever he uses it and it'll complete any task he wants under one condition...he has to open a portal to the Shadow Realm. The size and strength depends on the task (In this case it's not very big or strong when cancelling a spell).

Reading the Soul:
Tomir has the power to read minds, but Metayel has the power to read their souls. Allowing him to get a hint of their past, present, and future through the image of an animal, object, or species. For example: In Alexis' case her past was the way of the Draconeques meaning at first she was very happy, but many chaotic events happened and this saddened Alexis; her present is the way of the Chimera meaning she has great power, but is confused what to do; and (like Metayel said) her future is the way of the phoenix meaning she has a bright future ahead of her.
