Tower's Magic:
The Eclipse Tower contains Dark Magic from the Shadow Realm aka the Demon Realm. When a Guardian Key is activated it'll start the Grand Ceremony which pours this magic into the pony who activated it. The 5 Guardian keys act like a magnet to Dark Magic so Alexis is obtaining every drop from the Demon Realm, but at the same time is in extreme pain since she only has one key. Tomir Sena did the same thing, but he had all 5 Guardian Keys so he was able to contain the magic and not feel any pain at all. The only cost is that the power he gained is weak.

Mist:
The Grand Ceremony usually needs sacrifices, but it has to try and find them without being detected. Therefore the mist and circles were hidden and can not be seen with the naked eye. Not only that, but it doesn't just drain there magic, but paralyze them and drains their life as well. So this ceremony is putting them at risk.

P.S. Whenever you see the words, "Put Us On Screen", it's talking about the rest of Furno's army. It's actually too big to put in one panel alongside the Elements.
